Install Longbow Recurve Bow
Install Longbow Recurve Bow
Imagine you just picked up a new bow and it’s the first longbow or recurve you’ve ever owned. How do you get started? What do you do first? What steps do you take to get your bow out and start shooting? Read on for the answers!
This entire tuning system is based on the adjusting of the arrow, string, and bow to achieve the desired results. The challenge is getting all three factors working in harmony, producing shot after shot of perfectly flying arrows. Once you’ve accomplished that, you’re there!

Here is a guideline on how to install longbow recurve bow:
1.Installing a Longbow
As what is shown in the video, what you first need to do is to grab the riser using your left hand. It is a right-handed riser which means that while the riser is held in your left hand, your right hand will be used for pulling the string.
What you should remember is that the black base for the device should be on top when you are attaching the parts. The next step will be is to grab one of the limbs, it doesn’t matter which one and then grab a knot which would be used to fasten the limb. Tighten the knot by hand.
Once you’re done with one limb, repeat the process on the other side.
2.Installing a Recurve
Before you get started, make sure that all the items you’ll be using on your recurve bow are installed. You want your bow to be as complete as possible because whenever you introduce a new component you will likely need to make some tuning adjustments. This is a critical step that in my experience is often overlooked by archers. Our first step in installing the recurve is to make sure that the hole is placed in front, with the limb pointing towards the front.
The final appearance that you should aim for is that the limbs should be curving, and then bounce to the middle and curving back to the front. The bolt should also be secured in the middle. If your recurve bow curves in the same direction, it means that you assembled it incorrectly.
Furthermore, the arrow rest should be bolted outside between the bow and string. For the device, if you wish to use your bow for general shooting, use the second hole in assembling the knot. If you want the bow to be used for shooting further distances, use the furthest hole found in the bow.
Make sure that they are facing up and the knots are underneath. Attach two screws using a Phillips head screw driver which Is not supplied with the bow. Once done attaching the last piece, you have to test and adjust it to make sure it is correct.
In installing the string, you have to look for the certain part where the arrow clicks on to. Pick up the string and make sure that it is align and of equal length for both sides. Next is, attach the bottom part to the longbow. For the other end, you will have to lean the bow to the ground, put or press a knee to it for support, and then attach the string.
So there we have it, a set-up and tune of your longbow and recurve bow.
